About Us
Pamela Bauer, Owner of Slate Clothing Store started her business in 2004. She’s always loved fashion but being a mother of young children, going to the mall was a daunting task that needed an alternative. She decided to turn her need into a business and that was the beginning of The Trendy Closet, a mobile boutique. Pam flew to LA to create relationships with manufacturers and distributors of the apparel industry. Being fashion forward, she was the first account in Washington to carry Miss Me, Rock Revival and MEK denim, some of the futures leading brands. By 2011, the business had grown to reps in Los Angeles, Arizona, Oregon and Eastern Washington. Along with growth, came a desire to work locally, leading her to bring it all in house creating Slate, a local clothing store in Lake Tapps where she lives. Pam is a Rotarian and believes in supporting the community where ever there is a need. In 2015, she visited The Landing in Renton, loved the vibe and immediately knew she wanted to expand to the area. In November of 2016 Slate at The Landing opened. She is looking forward to bringing the latest fashion trends to Renton while giving back to its community.
